I picked up you book Footnotes this afternoon and sat in my lounge in New Zealand and read it from start to finish. Inspirational and with a husband who is an arm amputee it was great to see some of the things we have seen and had happen written down in words which made me think I have not been imagining what I have seen over the years. Like you my husband uses the can do attitude..sometimes to his detriment, but we use the if you don't ask for help you won't get it approach and this works for us. It would be good if other people saw his abilities rather than what he can't do... loved your book... you are an inspiration and I shall think of you often..wondering what you are doing now.
